Talking about Dames en Dentelle

Whilst I have not decided on a name for the new kickstarter range yet, I am going to nickname them DenD, as it makes me laugh.

I am trying to work out if I should/could do the Highland Scottish lassies as well, since I imagine a group of short plaid skirts with blouses and sword and shield, with bonnets/bareheaded with a bagpiper, and backed with muskets might make a fun army.

I am going to make this a stretch goal - (at a price point to be determined) that I seriously consider this.

So far I have the following plans

Tricorn - no turnbacks
Musketeer - marching standard shoulder carry x2 (one with left foot forward and one with right foot forward)
Musketeer - with musket carried low across the body with a slight angle to enable ranking up
Officer with standard or spontoon (perhaps with option for pike or halberd)
Drummer
Officer with sword or pistol.
Grenadier - one pose with musket on shoulder (two alternative mitre caps)

at about £4500 -

Two sculpts of dragoons and two sculpts of Horse. (possibly adding a dismounted dragoon?)

At about £6500 -

Mounted command for Horse and Dragoon, including an officer pose, and a Standard bearer. (possibly adding in a dismounted dragoon officer?)

At about £8000 -

Adding a mounted brigadier figure to the sculpting, doing another pose for musketeers, doing another pose for grenadiers

At about £10500 -

Adding army command poses (so a general), more alternative heads, perhaps a sculpt of a new musketeer and/or grenadier

At about £12000 -

Adding artillery - at least 4 poses of crew - (but will aim for waistcoated/shirted as well as coat wearing options)

At about £14000 -

Floras - for the scottish units
Two sword and shield poses
Musketeer pose
Bagpiper
Officer
Standard bearer

At about £15000 ?

Adding an at rest pose for musketeers, a further pose for Horse and Dragoons, Horse Grenadiers? alternative poses for muskateers and grenadiers, further detail (new head sculpts - more options?)

Whilst this is a brief outline - and a sort of plan that I have developed - It could be subject to change or revision depending on what customers demand!

  1. Sounds promising as such!
    Of course the speed of the starting and development will depend upon funding;
And success will for the largest part rest on the talent of the sculptor, the femininity of the shapes (gaming minis are intended to be seen from a distance, so essential distinguishing features have to be... obvious) and the cuteness of the faces -this even if the minis are scrutinized individually, that's how potential buyer see and judge them on a web page.
    Cheers and best wishes.
